I started a painting, and while the cloudy sky were waking up, I suddenly felt warm light on my right shoulder. At first I hesitated, but when I looked and named all the beautiful tones of blue in the snow, I began painting in my head.
So I put down the first canvas and started over. But without any difficulty, because my brush was inspired.
Those blue tones weren't just blue. The light from the sky made them feel warm. If exists a warm blue tone, that would be it. That's why I started with a burnt siena underpainting, to warm up the blue trunks a little.
