Red Bulbs
Day 4 of the school plein air 2023 in Broumov
We get up at three in the morning, we're going to paint the entire monastery garden while it wakes up from the long night. The landscape is still dark. A deep blue sky glows over our heads.
My friend saw a red flickering in the distance on the horizon, breaking the tones of deep blues. So there we painted together, both eyes and brushes fixed on those light bulbs.
Soon the strange silhouettes began to transform and become recognizable. The blue faded, the bulbs went out, and we went on with our easels happily a little further.
