Halma in a Painting II.
The theme of the game board Halma on the artwork is based on the principle Art is play - and the reverse is true as well: play is art, and every game is unique.
Playing is special not only because of how we get to know each other. The feeling of togetherness and closeness stays with us for years. We remember the laughter, a glance, a subtle gesture, the shared focus. Time spent together is a priceless gift, measurable only by the memories we create with others. How fleeting victory or defeat feels compared to the presence of the person who played with us.
This is a handcrafted original - one of a kind - carefully painted with acrylics and finished with a protective varnish. The game board uses multi-layered translucent painting, enhancing the sense of play within the landscape of the artwork. Natural stones are included as part of the game.
